Damaged USB PC doesn\’t read it. Fixable?

Whenever I try to put my USB memory stick into the computer, it doesn’t recognize its existence.

Meddling with the options a bit, I discovered that it does seem to aknowledge its existence, but it makes it appear as a hidden file that cannot be opened because “There is nothing in USB port H.”

Is there any way to fix this? I’ve tried from file recovery software to reformating the device, but every time it insists there’s nothing on the port.

Help please?
