Help with black ops lag issue on 360?

In addition to being at my dad’s place for the summer and playing on a different tv, I play on a different controller (I used to use the razer onza, but it broke), and a different connection. I’m a decent player and have the stats to show it, 3.5 w/l and 1.85 k/d. However, after a couple weeks at my dad’s place, my k/d has dropped down to 1.73.

I am used to playing with lag, however nothing like what I’m having now. To further explain, I would have four shots on a guy running around the corner, he would drop me, and there will be no sign of me shooting whatsoever on the killcam.

My dad lives in Dallas, and being a techie, he pays for the fastest internet provided by AT&T. BUT, he also has U-Verse, which means the best router they have is a Wireless-G. I do connect via ethernet and I don’t know if it matters, but I am about three car lengths away from the router itself. There are also 5 computers, 2 ipads, 2 iphones, 1 apple tv, and half a dozen ip phones connected to it.

I don’t have access to the router settings and I don’t want to bother asking my dad about it because he’s been having some health issues and doesn’t need the extra stress. My xbox’s network setting is manually set to static.
