I have got a R4 card with 8gb memory card?

I have got a r4 card with 8gb memory card?

everything was working fine until i tried to put more games on. everytime i tried to put games on it kept saying i needed to reformat the disk. However when i put the disk back in r4 card and then back in Ds all I get is loading on a black screen. please help?
