Is my PSP battery broken?


Is my psp battery broken?

Whenever I connect my charger the light turns on for a few minutes then it turns off. I turn on the system and it dies after like 2 minutes of play. Should I buy a charger battery or a new psp battery?
I am currently using my friend’s charger that works on his system. Is it a problem with my PSP?
ALSO, how much longer do other batteries last compared to a 1200 mAh?
