PSP Modding Question?
PSP Modding Question?
Now… I’m planning on buying a PSP so that I could “mod” it with custom firmware. Since I plan on using up a lot of memory, I need a cheap way of getting as much memory as I can. I found out that if I used a PhotoFast CR-5400 Micro SD(HC) to MS Pro Duo Adapter with two 8GB micro SD cards, I could get 16GB of storage for about $20-$25. Now, while looking through the Amazon pages, someone said that they had trouble when they are connected to a computer (http://www.amazon.com/PhotoFast-CR-5400-MicroSD-Adapter-Dual/dp/B001I0T92Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1314224595&sr=1-2 LOOK AT THE FIRST COMMENT DOWN BELOW). They said that you need to reformat the memory cards when you connect them to a different device. Now… if I am to mod my PSP, I’m assuming that I’ll need to connect it to the computer frequently.
SO… THE QUESTION: If I buy this adapter and the micro SD memory cards, would I have any trouble when I mod my PSP? Or should I just buy a 4GB Memory Stick PRO duo?
FOLLOW UP QUESTION: The last time I modded a PSP, it was like 3 years ago. Back then, you were allowed to mod it, and it was only illegal if you downloaded games and stuff. That being said, is modding still legal? I doubt I’d have problems either way, but I’m just curious.
